impressed...

love love love the drums...my god...tell me how you did them! lol
i feel that the bass needs a sharper tone to it, it seems a tad too mellow for the impact that the drums set up....perhaps a few more snare rolls lead up to impact moments..feels like it needs a stronger kick...felt a tad empty...overall impressive work! if you ever get the chance, would love some feedback on some of the things ive submitted..i feel stuck and could use any help i could get:D

Fuiste responds:

Glad you liked the drums, they took the longest of any part of this song. I made them by using a distorted, compressed, and pitch raised sliced drum loop in the fruity slicer. I then added a kick and snare sample on top of that drum part to give those additional punch.

NICE!

Loved the style! definitely cinema-worthy imo. right around 1:15..i think you could turn it up a notch and go more techno with it...really make it bad-ass...

NemesisTheory responds:

thanks!

also if i technod it up halfway i think the whole feel would've been lost...
i wanted to keep it as a whole... if you want techno, there will be more of those songs coming in the future lol dont worry XD

thanks for the review!

amazing...

i don't know what else to say! what are all the programs you use?!? amazing. 10, 5, and instant download!

Karco responds:

Thanks for the review and the high ratings! :)

For this track, we used FL Studio 8 Producer Edition, and ReFX Nexus, along with a few samples.

got me moving...

lmao! me and my 7 month old are jamming out to this song....he's dancing...he must like it! very powerful, well mastered...i LOVE the synth! nice work. i'm not familiar with the original, but can't be better than this!
10 and 5!

wow...

i loved loved this song. i'm slowly beginning to find that the true style that i love is more drum n bass in make-up. this song incorporates everything i love so much about music. the drums were FANTASTIC, albeit a tad strong and overpowering. just a smidge. nice work!

nubbinownz responds:

hehe the drums DID get a little intense, but i'm glad that you enjoyed it, thank you ! :D

unexpected...

i don't usually like songs that are so happy sounding...i prefer the darker, i'm-gonna-kick-your-ass-while-wearing -my-sunglasses-at-night music. but wow...this completely captured me. beautiful.

10x better than the original...

i'm so flattered you took my opinion into consideration! all the elements you added took it from average to a professional sounding piece! it really ties in the oriental feel and culture. the drum was a tad strong at times, but i lovedededed the bells and other fun elements that added to the beauty and simple joy of this piece. i really feel like i'm on top of a mountain in china watching the sun rise now....fantastic job!

PenguinSam responds:

Oh wow!!!! Thanks!!! That really means a whole lot to me. And by drums, do you by chance mean the cymbal-like sound, or the percussion in general? I am really glad that you think it is that much better!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

asshole >.<

lol that was funny!

i would love to play this!!!

i'm a classically trained flautist. i am begging for the sheet music to this. the flute part is phenomenal! this is the first song i've heard that i have thought " I HAVE TO HAVE THIS". you are quite talented. i would not change a thing on here.

PenguinSam responds:

Your wish has been granted!

i heart

songs in minor keys. the runs in the right hand melody line are very impressive.i might have even dropped the left hand down an octave. i LOVE writing what i call "angry piano rage music". piano music can be so badass it's amazing! and with the left hand perhaps instead of the whole notes you're doing a majority of the time with those, i would even do quarter notes or eighth notes, to have that frantic full sound of the bass notes. at 2:24 ish, perhaps play a bit with the melody in the right hand going up an octave in parts. playing with octaves is a good way to still have the same melody line but add some variety to the piece so it does not sound as repetitive.NICE work!

PenguinSam responds:

I am difinetly going to work on that. It makes so much sense! You really are bringing new insight to me, thanks!
